A concrete slab collapsed on a roofing worker after demolition and construction at a condo complex.

A 23-year-old worker was killed in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, when a concrete slab collapsed on him at a condominium complex. The man was part of a roofing crew cleaning up after a day of demolition and construction at the Clubs at Tilton. The accident occurred under a staircase merge point where the slab gave way, trapping him. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery but did not survive his injuries. A mother and two children were evacuated from a second-floor unit. OSHA has been notified, and an investigation is underway.
