Associate

Alison J. Russell is a dedicated attorney with a client-driven practice focused on construction and workplace accidents, product defects, negligent security, and other catastrophic injury cases. Her tireless work ethic has led her to successfully represent clients who have been injured following the worst days of their lives. Alison prides herself on connecting with clients and forming close and trusting relationships with them. These relationships form the solid foundation on which she will advocate to a successful resolution.

Prior to joining Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, Alison was an associate at a leading regional defense firm where she concentrated on medical malpractice actions and general litigation matters. Additionally, she practiced in the plaintiff’s personal injury group where she successfully litigated product liability, premises liability, and motor vehicle cases. Alison has extensive experience in all aspects of litigating a case.

Alison is very active in the Philadelphia legal community. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the Future Leader Section of PAJ, as well as a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Lawyer’s Club of Philadelphia. She is passionate about mentorship of future generations and volunteers with Real World Leaders, the PAJ Diverse Mentoring Initiative, and is a member of SMB’s Summer Law Clerk Committee. She previously served as the Medical-Legal Liaison of the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association, was a member of the PBA Youth Courts Committee, and was a Board Member of the Young Professionals Advisory Board of the Bethesda Project, a nonprofit organization that provides shelter, housing, and programs to chronically homeless men and women in Philadelphia.

Alison is a 2011 honors graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a 2015 honors graduate of Villanova University School of Law. In law school, Alison was the production editor of the Villanova Environmental Law Journal, a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and a volunteer for both the ACLU and the Pennsylvania Innocence Project.

Alison lives in South Philadelphia with her husband, Andrew, and their three young kids.
