Brooke I. Kwatny

Special Counsel

Brooke I. Kwatny focuses her practice on litigating mass torts, environmental, and toxic torts, representing clients who have been diagnosed with cancer and other health conditions after being exposed to environmental hazards such as asbestos and PFAS. She has a proven track record of fighting for individuals harmed by corporate negligence, defective products, and environmental hazards. Brooke has built a reputation for handling complex cases and has successfully secured tens of millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for her clients. Whether fighting for victims of asbestos exposure, defective medical devices, or harmful pharmaceuticals, Brooke handles cases that require not only legal prowess but also a deep understanding of the technical and scientific issues involved.

When clients hire Brooke, they are typically facing a devastating diagnosis and worry about their physical and financial future. Brooke’s clients can rely on her experience, knowing that she will relentlessly advocate for them and hold the powerful corporations who wronged them accountable.

Prior to joining Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, Brooke represented plaintiffs who developed mesothelioma and lung cancer after being exposed to asbestos, aggressively pursuing the corporations responsible for harming her clients. Working at a regional defense firm, Brooke represented commercial insureds in product liability, premises liability, construction, and motor vehicle matters, gaining invaluable insight into the way defendants and their insurance companies’ approach and defend personal injury cases.

Brooke has litigated cases in both state and federal court, taking numerous cases to jury verdict and brings a unique combination of compassion, trial skills, and uncompromising determination.

In addition to her work for her clients, Brooke is very active in the Philadelphia legal community, serving as both a Judge Pro Tempore and Arbitrator for the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia. She is a Lead Investigator for the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Commission for Judicial Selection and Retention. Moreover, she is a member of the executive committee of the Temple American Inn of Court and coaches Philadelphia high school students in regional mock trial competitions.
