Robert “Bob” Zimmerman represents catastrophically injured victims of defective products and in workplace accidents throughout the country. In addition to his admissions in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he’s gained national recognition for his representation of the seriously injured, and has handled cases in Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Washington, and Wisconsin. He has successfully handled high-profile cases against national and international corporations and has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries for his clients.

Bob has been prominently featured in the national and international media (including in Australia, Canada, England, Germany, and Japan) for his efforts on behalf of his clients, including in print publications (New York Times, Washington Post, New York Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, The Legal Intelligencer) and broadcast (CNN, Good Morning America, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, NewsNation). Bob was selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list (2012-2021) and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list (2022-2026), and was recognized as one of the Top 100 lawyers in Philadelphia. His results include a $124 million verdict in an assault and battery case in Montgomery County, a significant confidential mid-trial settlement arising from the Giants Stadium escalator derailment that seriously injured eight individuals, a $24 million settlement mid-trial in a product liability action against an industrial machine manufacturer, and a $23.725 million product liability case stemming from a house fire.

Bob has hands-on experience with the tools and equipment used by the workers he represents. He is a Certified Aerial Lift Operator, Forklift Operator, Crane Operator, Rigger, and Signalman. Bob has also completed the OSHA 10-hour workplace safety course, has taken courses and training in architectural drawings, firearm safety and is certified in the use of Automated External Defibrillators and CPR.

Bob is a leader among the legal profession nationally. Since 2025, he is national co-chair of the American Association for Justice’s Firearms Litigation Group. He will soon also serve as the national Product Liability Section Chairman. He is a board member and on the executive committees of both the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association (PTLA) and Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ). Bob previously was elected to the Philadelphia Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division Executive Committee, serving as Treasurer in 2015 and as co-chair of the Bar Association’s Bench Bar, an annual event that offers continuing legal education to lawyers and Judges, He is a past President of the Future Leaders Section of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association.

In 2011, Bob received his Master’s of Law degree from the nationally ranked Trial Advocacy Program at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, and serves as a Lecturer and Judge Instructor for the program. Bob graduated as a member or the Mu Kappa Tau Honor Society from King’s College, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, where he served in student government and was the basketball team’s play-by-play radio broadcaster. Bob holds a law degree from Villanova University’s School of Law (2008), where he served a judicial externship in the Civil Division of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and was a member of various legal interest groups. While in law school, as a member of the Civil Justice Clinic, he was authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to represent clients who could not afford attorneys. Bob clerked for one of Philadelphia’s major civil defense litigation firms before joining Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky in 2007.

Bob was raised by his Mother (retired teacher) and late Father (Probation Officer) in Northeast Philadelphia, and currently resides in Center City Philadelphia.
