Ryan Hurd is proud to be an active trial attorney practicing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 2007. He has an intimate understanding of how an accident or malpractice can affect you and your family. His experience with litigation began as a child after a physician failed to diagnose clear symptoms of a serious defect on Ryan’s spinal cord. This first-hand experience ignited his passion to fight for those who were similarly hurt by others’ negligence.

Ryan understands what is necessary to obtain the results his clients need. He successfully represented hundreds of injured victims in personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, and premises liability claims at arbitration and trial court levels in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has also handled cases in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, West Virginia and Oklahoma. His results include a $7,000,000 settlement arising from a tractor trailer collision, a $4,000,000 settlement for an injured bicyclist, and a $6,000,000 settlement in a product liability claim against a car manufacturer.

Ryan was recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in Pennsylvania. Ryan is a recipient of Philadelphia Magazine’s peer-selected Super Lawyers of Pennsylvania, an honor reserved for the top 5 percent of all attorneys in Pennsylvania. Prior to being named a “Super Lawyer,” Ryan was repeatedly recognized as a Rising Star in the annual Pennsylvania Super Lawyers ratings. This peer-selected honor is reserved for the top 2.5 percent of all Pennsylvania attorneys 40 years old and under. Ryan was also selected by the American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA) as a Top 40 Under 40 member.

As a 2007 graduate of Villanova University School of Law, Ryan was selected to serve as an executive member of the Villanova University School of Law Moot Court board. He additionally served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Rayford A. Means of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Trial Division. Ryan graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2003.

Ryan is member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, past chairperson of the Future Leaders section and past member of the board of governors. He serves as a certified Arbitrator for the Court of Common Pleas Philadelphia Compulsory Arbitration program. Ryan is also an advisory board member for several legal treaties covering civil discovery, pre-trial and trial practices.
