Lydia is a strong yet compassionate advocate, tenaciously representing her clients with integrity and professionalism. An experienced litigator, she has tried numerous jury verdicts and countless arbitrations throughout Pennsylvania. Originally from southern Illinois, Lydia wanted to be a lawyer from a young age. A diligent student, she attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies, where she graduated with high honors, and has been in the Philadelphia area ever since.

While in law school, Lydia was active in a number of student groups, including the Drexel Law Review (Executive Editor of Membership), as well as a research assistant for Dr. Donald Tibbs. In the summer, she clerked for the Honorable Bruce D. Stewart (Fifth District Appellate Court, Illinois). She also organized and participated in a number of pro bono projects and clinics, such as the Haiti Justice Project, traveling to Haiti and conducting human rights investigations to report on conditions in Port-au-Prince.

Prior to joining Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, Lydia spent over ten years litigating cases as defense counsel for major insurance companies, including a Fortune 50 company. In this role, she learned first-hand what adjusters and insurance companies look for when evaluating and trying cases. She also gained valuable experience in all aspects of litigation, from researching and building a case to presenting before juries. With this background in insurance defense, she knows how insurance companies think – and uses that knowledge and her investigative skills to help her clients get full compensation for their injuries.

Lydia is passionate about giving back to her community. She is active in her church music ministry, regularly singing with the choir and praise band, and assisted with children’s music in the past. She also volunteers with her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, and assists with her children’s sports teams.

Outside of work, Lydia is an accomplished musician and enjoys writing and performing. She loves all things music, cooking, reading, and going on adventures with her husband and four young children.
