Jeffrey Goodman Named 2025 Pennsylvania Attorney of the Year

Jeff was honored for his work in the landmark case Anderson v. TikTok which has served as a catalyst for increased accountability for social media companies.

Jeffery Goodman was named the 2025 Pennsylvania Legal Awards Attorney of the Year by America Lawyer Media. Jeff was honored for his landmark victory before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Anderson v. TikTok, which significantly challenged the longstanding legal shield — Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act — that has historically protected social media companies from liability.

ALM reported that Jeff “pierced Big Tech’s formerly impenetrable shield” and in doing so “has helped open a new avenue of justice for victims.” The Anderson case arises from the tragic death of a 10-year-old who died doing a TikTok challenge. The case has served as a catalyst for increased accountability for social media companies.

Jeff was a Finalist for the award in 2023, recognized for his leadership in the litigation arising out of the June 2021 collapse of Champlain Towers in Surfside, Florida that claimed the lives of 98 people.
