Jonathan Silva represents individuals and families who have fallen victim to mass disasters, construction accidents, structure collapses, gas explosions, motorcycle accidents, dangerous products, and workplace accidents.
Prior to joining Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, Jonathan honed his skills at a regional defense firm representing rail, bus and other transportation entities in personal injury related disputes. Jonathan also completed a clerkship under the Honorable Eric G. Fikry, current Presiding Superior Court Judge of the Civil Division, Burlington Vicinage, New Jersey. He gained invaluable insight into the strategies of corporate defendants and their insurers, as well as first-hand experience with the inner workings of state judiciary and litigation processes, enabling him to better serve his clients
Practice Areas
As a first-generation American and college graduate, Jonathan values hard work, diligence, and persistence. For him, being a lawyer means being a lifelong learner: learning to stand in other’s shoes, learning to see through other’s eyes, and learning to make a tangible difference wherever he goes. Having grown up with community-oriented parents, Jonathan understands the importance of empathy and dedication. To this end, he values open and frequent communication with his clients and his team, and works to ensure his clients feel heard, valued, and respected. Clients trust him not only for his legal acumen but also for his practical guidance, honest advice, and dedication to achieving the best possible outcome.
Jonathan earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law where he served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Linda Carpenter, Pennsylvania Court Common Pleas. He graduated magna cum laude with his bachelor’s degree from Villanova University (making him a “Super Nova”), where he first discovered his interest in the law while volunteering as an interpreter for the law school’s Clinic for Asylum, Refugee and Emigrant Services. He is fluent in Spanish and Italian, and has a basic understanding of Mandarin Chinese.
In his free time, Jonathan loves to travel with his wife, give back to the Philadelphia community, compete in amateur sport leagues, be outdoors, and read non-fiction literature.
