Statement of Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky Following Federal Court Decision That Sig Sauer Improperly Removed Pennsylvania Widow’s Defective P320 Pistol Lawsuit

Pennsylvania Federal Court struck down Sig Sauer’s attempt to improperly remove a lawsuit filed by the widow of Roman Neshin, who was killed by his defectively designed Sig Sauer P320.

Philadelphia, PA (July 9, 2025) – We are pleased that a Federal Court in Pennsylvania struck down Sig Sauer’s attempt to improperly remove a lawsuit filed by the Pennsylvania widow of Roman Neshin, who was killed by his defectively designed Sig Sauer P320. The Court’s decision confirmed that Sig Sauer’s attempt to transfer this case was without merit, and delayed several months his family’s pursuit of justice.

The case will immediately proceed in Philadelphia County, where a jury in a separate, related case found that the Sig Sauer P320 was defectively designed and that Sig Sauer’s conduct was reckless. The gunmaker will now face another jury and answer why it went forward with specific safety-related design decisions that it knew could lead to unintended fatal shootings of its users. The company has also attempted to escape justice in its home state of New Hampshire by convincing state lawmakers there to grant it special immunity from lawsuits. As this new ruling demonstrates, Sig cannot hide from a Philadelphia County jury rendering a full and just verdict to a wife who is now a widow and single mother.
