Roofing Accident Claims Life of Worker at PA Middle School
The worker fell approximately 30 feet to the ground, suffering fatal blunt impact injuries.
A tragic construction accident occurred over the weekend at Holicong Middle School in Buckingham Township, Pennsylvania, resulting in the death of a 58-year-old roofing contractor. The worker was reportedly performing roofing duties when he fell approximately 30 feet to the ground.
Emergency responders from the Buckingham Township Police, EMS, and the Bucks County Coroner’s Office arrived at the scene shortly after 4 PM; the worker was pronounced dead at 4:10 PM. Following an autopsy, the cause of death was determined to be blunt impact injuries, and the manner of death was ruled accidental.
According to the Central Bucks School District, the worker was employed by a private roofing company contracted to perform work at the school. No district employees or students were involved or present during the incident, and officials confirmed there was no risk to school personnel or children.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified and is conducting a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall to determine whether safety protocols were properly followed.
