Operator Killed and 23 Others Injured After Tree Falls onto NJ Transit Train in Mansfield, NJ
The train was traveling southbound from Trenton when it struck a tree just north of Roebling Station.
Just after 6:00 a.m. this morning, a falling tree struck a NJ Transit train traveling on the New Jersey River Line. The train’s operator tragically died in the collision and at least 23 others sustained injuries. The cause of the tree’s collapse into the train is yet to be determined.
