Woman: There are new developments in that deadly crash between a duck boat and a barge on the Delaware River. The families of two Hungarian victims are now getting legal assistance here in the United States. Two exchange students, 16-year-old Doris Schwendtner and…were both killed in the accident. They were among 37 people who were thrown in the water on July 7th after a barge struck their stalled duck boat. Thirty-five people were rescued. The two students were the only ones who did not survive. Their bodies were found in the river two days after the accident.

Robert: We would be suing KC Transportation. They were piloting the tug and barge that ran over the duck boat. We’d be suing the duck boat company. They should not have had a breakdown.

Woman: Now, the attorney representing a tugboat operator says his client is devastated by what happened. But the fear of potential federal charges is why he is not allowing his client to make any statements. You might recall the mate behind the wheel refused to talk to investigators.

Meantime, in Boston, authorities are investigating another duck boat accident. It’s the second time in three weeks there’s been an accident on land involving an amphibious vessel in that city. This time, five people were hurt after the boat collided with several cars on a busy highway. A duck boat official says something got stuck behind the brake pedal, preventing the driver from stopping.
