Delaware County Files Lawsuit Against Opioid Manufacturers

Delaware County announced the filing of a civil lawsuit against major manufacturers of opioid painkillers. Attorney Robert Mongeluzzi of Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky represents the county and says the major manufacturers of opioids created and funded false companies to “hoodwink doctors into thinking that the drugs were safe.”

They had a battle plan, these manufacturers. Their battle plan was to convince people that opioids were safe and weren’t addictive when in fact they knew they were deadly and were addictive.
