Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky Launches $25,000 Home Run Challenge Benefiting Phillies Players’ Charities
Beginning August 17, 2026, any Phillies player who hits a home run that strikes the firm’s sign in right-center field will earn a $25,000 donation to the charity of their choice.
Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, proud partner of the Philadelphia Phillies, is turning home runs into an opportunity to give back. Beginning Monday, August 17, 2026, if any Phillies player hits a home run that strikes the firm’s sign in right-center field, Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky will donate $25,000 to that player’s charity of choice.
Located approximately 450 feet from home plate, the sign presents a formidable target even for the game’s biggest power hitters. Watching Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber launch some of baseball’s most memorable home runs sparked an idea: what if the next towering shot could also make a difference for charity?
“Home runs are already among the most exciting moments in baseball,” said Managing Shareholder Larry Bendesky. “Now, one of the longest home runs of the season could also make a meaningful difference for a charitable organization.”
The initiative reflects the firm’s long-standing commitment to supporting charitable organizations throughout the Philadelphia community while celebrating one of baseball’s most memorable moments.
The campaign will run through the regular season and hopefully a long playoff run for the Phillies. “The dream scenario?” said firm founder Robert Mongeluzzi. “Game 7 of the World Series. Bryce Harper steps up, calls his shot like Babe Ruth, hits the sign, the Phillies win, and we get to present a $25,000 check to charity at the World Series parade.”
