Norristown, PA (December 22, 2014) – There will be no retrial in Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas for confessed wife killer Rafael Robb.
The Hon. Judge Thomas Del Ricci has entered an order denying Robb’s post-trial motion for a new trial after hearing arguments last week on the matter. Last month a jury awarded a total of $124.26 million in damages in the case (2008-36401, Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas) filed by the Firm under Pennsylvania’s wrongful death and survival acts.
Andrew R. Duffy, of Saltz, Mongeluzzi & Bendesky, P.C., said following the Order, “The Court has throughout this litigation demonstrated extreme judicial diligence and respect for the process and all the parties. Clearly, the detailed trial record reflects no appellate issues. On behalf of the Estate of Ellen Gregory Robb and her daughter, we are squarely focused on moving forward to ensure compliance with the appropriate award of the jury.”
