Joshua Snyder has been litigating antitrust and other class actions for over two decades. His antitrust experience encompasses work on behalf of consumers, businesses, and public sector clients.

Josh’s clients operate in various industries and markets, ranging from those involving  commodity and commodity-like products such as chemicals and wood products, to interest rate swaps and other derivatives, to sports broadcasting.

Practice Areas

Josh currently serves as co-lead counsel in Ya Mon Expeditions, LLC v. Allied Marine, Inc., Case No. 1:24-cv-20805 (S.D. Fla.), in which plaintiffs allege defendants conspired to fix, raise and maintain the commissions boat sellers pay to their brokers, and Conry v. Gerber Products Co., 24-cv-6784 (E.D.N.Y.). In addition, Josh has served as a co-lead counsel in Tipsy Nail Club LLC v. ClassPass, Inc., No. 21-CIV-8662 (S.D.N.Y.), and In re Apple In-App Purchase Litig., No. 11-CV-1758-EJD (N.D. Cal.), both of which resulted in classwide settlements on behalf of small business owners and consumers, respectively.

Many of Josh’s clients are in the public sector, including counties and municipalities he represents in their lawsuits against the nation’s largest opioid manufacturers, distributors, and dispensers.

Throughout his career, Josh has handled a variety of pro bono matters. With the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, Josh represented Letitia “Teri” Smallwood and helped to secure her return home to her family after 42 years in prison. Josh serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. Since 2014, he has been a Trustee of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, an organization that provides grants and other support to nearly forty legal aid nonprofits in Philadelphia. He currently serves as the Board’s President. In addition, Josh is a co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Business Law Section’s Antitrust Law Committee.

Prior to joining Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, Josh was a Partner at Boni, Zack & Snyder. From 2008 – 2015, Josh was named to Pennsylvania SuperLawyers “Rising Stars” and has been named to Pennsylvania SuperLawyers from 2016 – 2026. Prior to entering private practice, Josh served as a law clerk to the Hon. Berle M. Schiller of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and later to the Hon. Thomas L. Ambro of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Josh is a 1998 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and 2001 graduate of Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New  Jersey, and numerous federal courts.
