Worker Killed in Fall at Pittsburgh Construction Site
A 47-year-old construction worker from McKees Rocks, PA tragically died after falling nine stories from scaffolding at an apartment building construction site in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood at 419 Melwood Ave. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The construction site has been temporarily shut down, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is actively investigating the incident. The contractor on the project is Cost Company, which has previously violated OSHA guidelines.
