North Carolina Father Dies After GPS Leads Him to a ‘Bridge to Nowhere,’ Family Says

North Carolina father Phil Paxson stayed behind to help clean up his daughter’s birthday party at a friend’s house.

He had a short drive to the house he recently moved into. But Paxson was unfamiliar with the roads, so his family says he followed the GPS. His family believes the GPS directed him to cross a small bridge that hasn’t existed since 2013. Paxson drove right off the road, plunging 20 feet into the ravine. His body was later discovered inside of his partially submerged vehicle.
