This tragic civil rights case was filed on behalf of the mother of a second-grade student who was allowed to be removed from school without her mother's permission and given by a teacher into the custody of the mother's prior boyfriend. The man then tortured and murdered the child and buried her in a shallow grave. A massive manhunt ensued and the man was captured by the FBI in Philadelphia. Our Firm overcame significant legal hurdles to obtain a significant settlement for the traumatized family.
