Carmen Belefonte, Managing Attorney
of the Firm's Delaware County Office in Media, Pennsylvania,
brings more than 35 years of highly successful and diverse
trial experience to the assistance of victims and their
families in complex wrongful death, premises
liability and professional liability cases.
Mr. Belefonte, a selection by his peers as a 2005 and
2006 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, is a graduate of the University
of Notre Dame and the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania
State University where as result of his high academic
ranking and writing skills, he was an editor of the Law
Review and member of the Woolsack Honor Society. Serving
as a litigator in the Army Judge Advocate General Corps
before entering private practice, Mr. Belefonte possesses
significant legal experience in the public and private
sectors. His Court admissions include:

Mr. Belefonte is a Fellow of the prestigious American
College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Million Dollar
Advocates Forum. He is formerly the President of the Pennsylvania
Trial Lawyers Association and the Delaware County Bar
Association and a previous member of the Executive Committee
and Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers
of America.
A frequent lecturer on effective trial advocacy, Mr.
Belefonte is recognized for his leadership and service
to the legal community by the American Inns of Court,
Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, Delaware County
Bar Association and the American College of Trial Lawyers.
He was also appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court
to serve as Vice-Chair of its Continuing Legal Education
Committee and Civil Procedural Rules Committee.
In addition to his legal activities, he remains active
in the community serving as Solicitor of the Delaware
Valley Regional Finance Authority, Delaware County Police
Chiefs Association and Garrettford-Drexel Hill Volunteer
Fire Company. He also serves on the Board of the Delaware
County Community Foundation and the Upper Darby Educational
and Cultural Foundation. |
