Brian D. Kent, a former prosecutor, specializes
in representing victims in catastrophic
personal injury cases resulting from construction-workplace
accidents,
as well as product liability and premises liability cases.
Mr. Kent has fought for and protected victim’s rights
throughout his legal career. In his work in the Sex Crimes
Unit as an Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County,
Pennsylvania, he fought for the rights of child and adult
victims, using and honing his advocacy skills to bring
to justice some of Montgomery County's worst sexual offenders.
In Commmonwealth of Pennsylvania v. David Hollenbach, he
secured a conviction of a child molester after a week-long
jury trial that resulted in one of the longest sentences
in county history being imposed for a first time sex offender.
He is a 2000 graduate of the University of Delaware
and a 2003 graduate of the Temple University Beasley
School of Law, where he also is a May 2008 candidate
for an L.L.M. (Masters of Laws) degree in trial advocacy.
His law school honors include being a member of the national
championship trial team in 2002, during which he won
the Outstanding Advocate Award for the competition’s
final round; the Victor A. Jaczun Award for Excellence
in Trial Advocacy; and the Outstanding Advocate Award
for Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Kent previously served as a parliamentary aide to
Simon Hughes, M.P., in the House of Commons in London,
England and also served as a judicial clerk with the
Territorial Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands. He now
serves as a coach for the Temple University Beasley School
of Law national trial team and is a member of the board
of directors of the University of Delaware Alumni Association.
He is also co-chair of the American Ireland Fund’s
Young Leaders of Philadelphia, a charitable organization
made up of Irish-Americans dedicated to supporting programs
of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education
and community development throughout the island of Ireland.
He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts
of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Illinois and is a member
of the American, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Philadelphia
and Montgomery bar associations. Mr. Kent, who resides
in Montgomery County, is also a member of the Montgomery
County Inn of Courts, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers
Association and the American and Pennsylvania Association
of Justice. Mr. Kent is an avid triathlete in his free
